My business partner Molly and I opened North Star Offices in 2006. At that time we both had very young children and we would meet for a weekly evening coffee date to talk and we both expressed interest in wanting to find part time office space for our individual businesses. We tried to look for part time office space near each other but that seemed to be impossible to find so that is when we came up with the idea of shared office space. Little did we know that there was a co-working movement being born outside of our coffee dates on the national level as well!

Molly and I were interested in creating a space that felt professional, but also inviting and warm and had a sense of community. We decided to take the risk that others would also see the value in working in a space that was already furnished and that could be flexible. We were right and it has been an amazing and successful venture.

In September 2015, Molly chose to leave North Star Offices to take her career and work in a different direction and I have taken on being the sole owner and director of the company. I look forward to the next steps of this journey.

About Heidi

Heidi lives in Redmond, WA with her husband, kids, and two dogs. She moved to the Pacific Northwest in January 1994 and then received her Master’s Degree in Social Work in 1997. She worked Youth Eastside Services in Bellevue until 2006 when she decided to open North Star Offices, LLC as well as her own private practice as a therapist (heidisprivatepractice.com). In her spare time, Heidi loves to spend time with her family and friends, read and travel. She also loves to watch her beloved Seahawks and Huskies.
